Rev. Chris Carr brings together the skills and experience of a security professional and the compassion and heart for ministry of a pastor. He is trustworthy, knowledgeable, and flexible to address the unique concerns of each ministry setting. His assessments are clear, his recommendations sound, and he offers ongoing support. His ministry has helped us become more clear about our ministry, in which safety and security go hand in hand with welcome and hospitality.
Chris strives to provide us the best possible service with balancing a strong security structure while maintaining the vision and integrity of the temple. When disaster struck at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburg in October 2018, Chris moved heaven and earth to organize and quickly support synagogues and shuls here in the Minneapolis area.
Chris is a skilled communicator. He can engage a group of people; whether it be five of five hundred, in a way that is authentic, collaborative and brings people together even when discussing topics that may be difficult and challenging. Chris’ best communications trait though is his ability to listen and establish rapport and trust. He speaks true and can be vulnerable which is probably why he resonates so well with people and is highly respected within the communities he serves both professionally and personally.
